How do I play Lost Ark?
For KR server, you'll need a verified account which requires a Korean phone number tied to an identity and a VPN if you're playing outside of Korea.
To play the RU server demo, follow this guide on registering for Mail.RU and installing the demo.
How do I download the game?
You either download the game through the launcher with a Korean VPN or use community uploaded Google Drive links. See this download guide for instructions and use the #troubleshooting channel in the Lost Ark discord for help.

How do I change my account password?
On the stove website, login and go to your account settings. There is an option to reset your password and it doesn't require you to confirm anything. You will need a Korean VPN to access the website.
Can I use a Korean prepaid sim or VOIP number to verify my account?
No, it will not work because the system checks the personal information on the phone account and requires it to match your stove account personal details. Prepaid sims and VOIP numbers will not work because they are not tied to your identity.
What is reverification?
When your account is flagged for suspicious activity (changing IPs too quickly, entering wrong passwords too much, etc) your account will require you to confirm the phone number on the account. You can only confirm the phone number that is on the account and not a different one. They will send you a code that you have to input onto the website. There is no way around this other than having access to the original phone number.
Is there a global release yet?
No, the game is currently only available in Korea and Russian. At the Lost Ark media event, they confirmed that they wanted to eventually bring it over globally, but that they wanted to focus on the Korean version first.
Any dates you hear about EN version right now are all speculation. No real, actual or concrete dates or estimates have been confirmed by Smilegate which is the only reliable source you should wait for.
However, both CN and RU servers have been officially announced but with no testing dates.

Yes, it is free-to-play in Korea with cash shop. The only reason it'd cost something to play is if you can't make your own account and have to use other services. But the game is still free-to-play if you live in Korea.
Will there be a wipe after Open Beta?
No, there will not be a wipe going into release.
Is there an English Patch? What are the risks involved?
There is an English patch being actively developed that you can find pinned in the #engpatch-reports-discussion channel of the Lost Ark Discord. A lot of the important UI elements have been translated already. Modifying the client can get you banned, which is different from a reverification because it is permanent and can't be undone. There is always a risk, but being smart about it by not streaming with it will help.
Is it possible to play without knowing Korean?
You can use OCR tools to translate the game with Google Translate. There are also many guides that translate everything in the Lost Ark Discord that you can find in #guides-and-info.

Note that after the tutorial, you get sent to trision gate which lets you test the 3 classes of your branch before choosing it. Join the Lost Ark Discord and get your role in the #role-assignment channel by typing .role classname. Then check the pinned messages in your class discussion channel. You can also browse around lost ark inven for builds but the site is in Korean.
What are tripods and how can I respec?
Tripods are like addons for your skills that add special effects such as reduced cooldown, elemental buffs, changing attack patterns, etc. You unlock three tiers of tripods at skill level 4, 7 and 10. You can change your tripods at anytime for free.
To reset your build, press the button on the bottom left of the skill page. The costs depends on how many skill points you have, but at level 50 it should cost 22k.
How do I use the warp portals?
First you have to press G to interact with the portal to unlock it. Make sure to do this for every portal on every map you visit. Then you should be able to warp to the portal using the world map. The costs to warp depends on how far you warp away to and how far you are into the game (i.e. higher level continents cost more shillings.) You can only warp within the same continent.
How can I access the training room?
At around level 30 in the main quest, you'll unlock the 2nd music option in the F2 menu. Playing this song and talking to the NPC there takes you to Trision gate. This area lets you test all your skills and tripods on summoned dummy mobs without spending any shillings on respec.
I'm stuck on a quest that says 1/7 arks. What do I do here?

At this point, you no longer follow the orange main quests and start doing blue quests. After completing each continent of blue quests, you will get 1 out of the 7 arks. After obtaining 4/7 arks, you are done with the main quest so far as that's all that has been released at this time.
I've reached level 50 which is the cap. What now?
Get your level 50 skill and ultimate skill.
Finish up the main quest up to Shusire and unlock 4/7 arks.
Do PVP arena by going to the Colosseum icon in the main towns.
Work on increasing your ilvl. This game offers many ways to obtain end game gear and you should read the end game guide in #guides-and-info in the discord. Here is one of the guides you can find in there.
Where can I unlock my 50 skill and ultimate skill?
After you get to 50 and a bit after questing in Bern, you have to go to Trision gate and start the purple quests with the NPC there. After finishing these purple quests, you'll obtain two consumable items that you use to unlock both skills. Ultimate skills require a material to use that costs 250 shillings each that you can buy from one of the general vendors in the main towns with the backpack icon.

Join the Lost Ark discord and use the #looking-for-group and #lfg_server_6-11 channels. You may want to join a guild discord in the same server by using the #guild-recruitment and #looking-for-guild channels.
